Making Your Point
TIPS ON WRITING FOR WEBSITES, BROCHURES, ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS - OR JUST EMAIL
If you're still writing the way your high school teachers taught you, it may be time to rethink your approach.
I know this because I was trained to be an English teacher before I started my career in marketing. In many ways, I've had to forget what I learned in high school in order to succeed as a writer. The style I learned back then was wordy, formal and really dull.
This month, I'd like to explain how to loosen up and write in a way that your customers and others will want to read, without sacrificing correct grammar. These tips are simple, direct and, best of all, they make the whole process a lot more fun.
So unless you have a strong moral conviction that boredom and pain should be part of the working day, read Making Your Point, my October column from Sound & Video Contractor.
