Yet once you have it, you need to be ready to be interviewed.

  • Prepare three top messages that you want to get across in the interview.
  • Stick to what you know. Don't speculate. Stay positive.
  • Assemble crucial information that the reporter will need.
  • Give the reporter certain information ahead of time.
  • Understand that the press is always under deadline. Respond immediately or miss your chance to be interviewed.
