RESEARCHER IN ORGANIC & NATURAL FOODS OFFERS AV MARKETING INSIGHTS
Should an AV marketing or sales manager be interested in the natural and organic foods industry? Yes - for two important reasons:
1. It's similar to our industry in several important ways.
2. It has much better research data to work with, so it's easier to tell which marketing activities work best.
I recently spoke with Mike Addona, a researcher in the natural foods industry, who shared several insights. Among them:
- Advertising builds sales, but the effects are short to mid term.
- The vehicle that carries the message is what's most crucial.
- Promotional incentives work best when they target those who are likely to stick with a brand once they try it.
- The level of service you offer to customers who come in from a price promotion determines your ROI on that activity.
